David Woodson, MBA, CFP®, ChFC®, AIF
David began his career as a Research Analyst at a consulting firm in New York City. He would move on to become an Account Manager, where he would help consult on institutional assets in excess of $25 billion in his position. After two and a half years at the consulting firm, he moved back to his home state of Washington and joined Laurus Wealth Management. As a Wealth Advisor with Laurus, David specializes in retirement planning, education planning, estate planning, and risk management.
David graduated from Clark College with an Associate of Arts degree in 2014 through the Running Start program and now serves on their Alumni Board on the scholarship and alumni engagement committees. He continued his education at Gonzaga University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2016 and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 2018. Both degrees had a concentration in Finance. He is also an associate member on the Estate Planning Council of SW Washington, which is a group comprised of attorneys, CPAs, and financial planners that meet several times a year to discuss legislation pertaining to tax and estate laws.
David holds his Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, Series 66, and insurance producer licenses with LPL Financial. David also holds the following professional designations:
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)
- Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®)
David grew up in Camas and went to Camas High School. Today, David resides in Northern Vancouver. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing chess, and cheering on the Gonzaga basketball teams. He also enjoys hiking in the Columbia River Gorge and boating on Lake Merwin in the summer.
